GLACIER TOMATO

26/03/
"GLACIER TOMATO"
I thought I would try a new to me variety of tomato this year.
"GLACIER" this is one of the earliest maturing varieties available of withstanding far colder conditions than any other. A compact potato leafed 3ft variety producing 2-3in bright red fruits of excellent flavour.  Performs well in cooler seasons readily setting fruit and continuing to produce over a long period.  Excellent for containers or small areas.

  • Sow in early spring 1/16 inch deep under cover. Germination takes around 6-14 days at 65-75F.
  • Transplant the seedlings when large enough to handle into 3 inch pots. Grow on under cooler conditions and when about 8 inches tall gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions and plant out 18 inches apart after all danger of frost has passed in a warm and sunny spot in moist, fertile well drained soil and keep watered.
Here goes, seed sown on 13th Feb and is now
ready for potting on.

This is a broad leaf variety of tomato.
